Song of the Day
With a visual style reminiscent of the 1970s TV show "The Electric Company" and a sound that seems to include pretty much every genre under the sun, The Go! Team are their own breed of animal. Sonically speaking the band moves from 70s R&B to early urban hip-hop while mixing in various tv/movie samples along the way, yet remain firmly rooted in today's indie rock scene. The band itself is comprised of six members and hails from Brighton, England. Their debut album was released in late 2004, however an international release didn't see the light of day until 2005 due to litigation surrounding the immense number of samples sprinkled throughout the record.
